If you mean a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check, then you must obtain this through the registered organization, eg school, voluntary organization, local authority, with whom you will be working/volunteering.

You cannot, at the moment, get a CRB check directly for yourself. A prospective employer can get one if you complete and sign the application form, the results will be sent to him/her (you get a copy too).
