How do i open a 16g lip ring

okay, so this might sound stupid. but if you aren't going to answer with help or anything, then dont f****n answer at all. thanks. so i bought this lip ring from spencers and its a 16g ring with a ball on it. so its like a hoop with a ball on it. i know its suppose to open with the ball but idk how to do it, no matter which way i turn it it never comes off. please help :)

mine had to be pried open idk about yours. try pul;ling it open

you have to pull the ring apart. the ball does not unscrew, it pops off. be careful when you pull the ring apart, because the ball might go flying and you might not be able to find it. pliers can work too, but if you pull hard enough, the ball will come off.

pull on the two ends where the ring meets and pull on the ball at the same time.

since its a 16 gauge, you should be able to push it out and then push it back in.

hold it between your thumb and index finger and push the ball with your other thumb.

if that doesn't work, you can use pliers, but you should wrap the pliers with rubber bands or cover them with latex gloves before you use them on the jewelry so that you don't damage the jewelry with any nicks or cuts that could irritate your body after you put it in.

alternately you could always go to a piercer, who will gladly put it in for you at little to no cost
