How do i open my own store on second life?

Try www.silkfair.com.  Great way to start up your own store online with no risk to you.  Free account, free store, list unlimited items, and only 3% final sales fee.  This is how I am starting out.

1.  Get some stuff to sell

2.  Find a place to sell it

3.  Sell your stuff

For step 1 - you can make your own, or sell someone else's stuff for a commission.

For step 2 - look around, ask your friends, or try the Forums.

for step 3 - join some groups, tell your friends, advertise!

You can either buy land and set up a store on it, or you can rent a shop on someone else's land. There are many malls that rent shops. Bring up your search screen and look thru the Classifieds for shop rentals.
