How do i overcome my shyness??? [READ ON]?

okay, tomorrow....i have to sing a solo for my choir teacher,,,

im so scared...im a really shy person....any advice on how to get over this?

haha me too tomorrow! what I do is just imagine you're the most amazing singer in the world, everyone is intimidated by how amazing you are, THEY are nervous to be around YOU because you're so good. This ego trip works for me lol. Just remember to BREATH and relax and you'll do great = ]

  I was a shy guy, My friend died at an early age. The pastor asked that I read in the church at his funeral. I was terrified. At the last moment, I was overcome with a powerful feeling, as if I had mastered my anxiety and my fear. I read in front of 100 people. After that I was OK. Today, there could be 500 people in the church, I wouldn't be afraid.  It"s a lot like the first time you jump of a diving board.

this is the most asked question i have seen on here. take a couple of deep breaths right now. go to a mirror and pretend that there are a lot of people there. this will help you and also prepare you for your solo. i have done this every time i had to do a guitar solo and it helped me. good luck. i hope you do well.

You can try singing in front of your parents or friends and close your eyes when you are singing in front of your choir teacher.

nothing to worry about at all!! Singing is great and its even better to sing for somone!  A good thing to keep in mind before you sing or preform is that you are simply sharing your music/voice with others. and its nothing to loose sleep over.  IF you re hte only one singing, im 100% sure that there will be somone who whished htey were you.   id if there will be anyone around though  lol.  Juat have fun with it, yournot proving anything only that you lvoe to sing!
