How do i paddle to the left while rafting?

how do i maneuver the raft to the left if there are 3 pple on left and 3 on the right, i need to no the paddling techniqies to do that

There are two ways to do it. The first is for one person at the back of the boat to be the official steersman. When you want to turn to the left, you put your paddle in on the left side of the boat, buried deeply, so the whole blade is in the water. When you want to turn right, your paddle goes on the right side of the boat.

If you need to make an assisted turn -- for example if you're heading for an obstruction and you need to move left, right now, the person at the left rear puts his paddle in. The person at the front left draws -- that is, their paddle goes in the water, parallel to the boat, and they push the water sideways, under the boat. The person on the right front pries. They put their paddle in against the edge of the boat/raft, and push the water away from the boat. Done correctly, this maneuver will spin you in a 360 degree circle. But try it out before you get into an emergency situation!

The person at the back should have a steering blade --this is a paddle that is a bit longer and a bit wider than the regular paddling blade.
