  1. What is the Australian hazards test? Give details and we may be able to help.

  2. I'm in NSW, so this may not be totally relevant to you, depending on where you live!

Are you talking about the Hazard Perception Test (HPT) to get you green P's, or the DART test to get your red P's?

The DART test, just take it slow and easy, and get as much practice before hand as you can. It might help to have at least one lesson with a professional driving instructor, usually they will be able to tell you whether they think you will pass, and give you pointers.

If you are talking about the HPT, make sure that you only press the screen when it is safe. If it doesn't seem like it registered, don't worry, it probably has. The questions repeat themselves, so you might think that the computer is glitching out, this is what happened to my boyfriend, and he failed because he just kept touching the screen, thinking that the computer was frozen!

EDIT* I just re-read and saw you are talking about the HPT. If it is a traffic light question, make sure that you only touch when you are ABSOLUTELY sure that there are no cars coming up the outside lane. They will fail you if you can't see all the way up the outside lane, e.g. if your view is blocked by a truck, etc.

Also, with the ones where you are on a narrow road and there are cyclists, don't touch the screen, it is ok to be overly cautious and not touch the screen!

  3. Read the book over and over get someone to quiz you, when you take the test next time take it slowly. Good luck
