  1. First, you want to put one of your feet a little out in front of the other, and spaced apart.  You want to then bend down, but make sure your butt isn't in the air.  You want to bring your butt down, which is, to me, more important then your knees.  Always stay off of your heels, so you can be ready to get the ball.  Loosen your arms, let them dangle.  Then, put your left hand out with your fingers straight [for now].  Take your right hand, and sort of hold your left hand.  .Your four fingers will be on the back of your left hand, and your thumb will be in the palm.  Then straighten your arms, and when you do, your wrists should come together.  This is what my coach calls the platform, it is easier to hit the ball and controll it when the platform is straight.  You hit it in your wrists general area, if you hit it off your thumb bone or your palm, you will not be able to control it very well.  Email me if you want, I can show you pictures of how to do it.  It takes practice, but once you learn you will be glad, because control is a lot of what Volleyball is about.

  2. bump it or set it

  3. well to start you want too cup your hand so that your two thumbs are facing away from you next too eachother.(sory im not to skilled at explaining) and when the ball comes you dont want to swing your arms VERy BAd!! ok... and you want too just kinda shrug your soulders and put your weight into. not if your doin the three hits though...

  4. Cross one hand over the other and 45 degree angles and fold your thumbs in. Remember, you want to contact it on the forearms. Trust me, if it goes off your hands it could go ANYWHERE, because its not a flat surface (bones and stuff). Make sure you move for the ball and get your hips behind it. Don't be afraid to hit the ground and always be on your toes. Remain calm. NEVER swing your arms. Shrug your shoulders and bend your knees and swinging shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!

  5. Start by making a fist with one of your hands.( I usually make a fist with my left but its up to you) Then put your other hand around that fist. Keep your thumbs on top and DON'T cross them, because if you do and a ball hits off it, it could really hurt(personal experience). Then keep your arms straight. That's your platform.

When you go to pass, lift with your legs. Don't swing your arms because then it will go straight to the ceiling. Make sure you stay low too.Keep your eyes on the ball at all times. Hope this helped!

  6. practice!

well, try getting sum 1 to supervise ur training. maybe a friend interested in volleyball. practice on wat u need 2 practice. make sure u streatch before u do anythin tho--u mite pull a muscle.

  7. CONTROL. That's the number one thing that you need to be good at. If you don't have it, the games are gonna be embarrassing!

Always get the second hit to you setter, and if u are the setter, get the 2nd hit and get it to your middle blocker so she/he can spike/drive it over the net. Try to get three hits all together....Talk to your team mates! Call the ball and BE AGGRESSIVE.

Always be in ready position, which is hands on your knees, ready to run. Make sure you understand how to rotate and get back to your spot.

Practice your serves whenever possible, that is the easiest way to get easy points! Overhand serve if possible because it's harder and you are more likely to get points.

    Remember, CONTROL!!

  8. Open youre left hand and place your right thumb on it

then  cover your right tumb w/ your left hand

u can also make 2 fist and place them next 2 each other tumbs flat

2 make a pass u slightly move you arms in a upward position while moing your knees in the motion 2

make sure the ball hits your inside of the forearm

    Good Luck
