How do i pay a collection agency if their phone # is disconnected?

no other number given. all the internet searches and credit bureaus only give the disconnected #. the office is not in driving distance where i could go there in person. the original creditor is unknown (i just know it's for a medical bill), so i can't pay them either. what do i do?

Send a validation request directly to the credit bureaus. If they can't reach them either to validate the debt per federal law they must remove it from your credit files.

Send them a letter via Certified Mail + Return Receipt stating:

Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am requesting written validation of this alleged debt
