During this year, i screwed up a few tests, however, i got pretty good on some others. I really want to double up and take honors physics and AP bio next year, however, im not sure if my honors bio teacher will let me(i haven't asked her)

how should i persuade her to let me?

do you think it'll work if my mom asks for me if she says no to me?

I am determined to do good in that AP class because i will buy the book and study during the summer!!!!!

How should i go about persuading her to let me take the course?

  1. Maybe your teacher could give you the tests again that you messed up on (not for a grade, just for you to show that you really learned the material), and if you do well she might be willing to let you take AP. If she doesn't want to grade the tests, she could just ask you some questions orally about the topics.

If you were my student, that's what would impress me the most - that you learned the material well, and that you worked hard to make sure you got it. It doesn't hurt to tell her your plan to buy the book and study during the summer.

If you're an upperclassman in high school, I'd say that this is something you should handle by yourself, without bringing in your mother. If your teacher still says no, it's probably because there's a limit in class size and other students are simply more qualified than you.
