  1. scoop it into ur hands and hold it for bout 3 min and atlease once a day

  2. i'm actually going through the same process with my new hamster. taming take a lot of time and patience. here's how i finally did it:

you're probably going to just want to start out by leaving your hand her her cage, while talking to your hamster gently for a while and letting her sniff your hand and get used to your smell. make sure you're hands are fully washed so the hamster doesn't mistake it for food.

once she feels more comfortable with your smell. put a treat or something in your hand and let her eat off of it. this will start to increase her trust in you and that you won't harm her.

after she is able to comfortable eat from your hand, try putting a treat inside a cup and put it in to her cage. let her go inside the cup and bring it out. let her come out of the cup on her own and let her crawl from hand to hand simultaneously. make sure she feels secure.

you might have to do this for a couple of nights before she is fully comfortable. once she is, you'll be able to pick her up directly from her cage with scooped hands.

  3. If you have a cage that you can put your hand in and scoop them up, that would be good. But you can always gently grab your little guy and et them in your hands. They're fast, so I sit in the bathtub sometimes and hold them, just in case they try to escape. Just make sure you don't catch your hamster off guard and grab it or squeeze it hard. This will startle the poor thing. Good luck!

  4. Hi again!

You should let them get used to your hand first, put a treat in your hand. They may nibble at your fingers, that's just experimental, if he puts a paw on your hand. wait for him to climb in, then gently lift him and cup him in your hand.

They like tiny enclosed spaces. Let him get used to your smell and such, and then they will be easy to pick up.

But unfortunately robos are the smallest and the fastest of the hamster breeds, so they are very skittish!

So don't come from the top! Because that's how predators attack!

    Good luck. :3

  5. haha, I'm actually trying to bond with my dwarf hamsters as i type this xD The steps I'm taking are quite simple. You NEVER just pick it up by holding the hamster with your thumb and your fingers. It will frighten the hamster and may bite you. First, just put your hand in the cage and let your hamster sniff your hand. Let it get used to you & when it shows no signs of aggressiveness, slowly scoop it up when it's on your hand directly. use your two hands to make a "path" for your hamster so that it can walk a bit on your hands :] I'm sure it'll get used to you if you give it love and effort. ( If you're scared it might bite, use rubber gloves at first when trying to scoop it up )

P.S.: it might nibble at your hand from time to time when you're handling your hamster, but as long as it doesn't seriously bite you to the point where it really hurts or bleeds, it's okay :]
