How do i play dvds on my computer?

i have a pc and i don't know how to play dvds on it. i have some decoder thingo i downloaded but it doesnt work

u need a DVD rom to play ur dvds in ur comp.....downloading somthing wont help

First, you need to have a DVD drive installed in your computer.  They look the same as CD drives, so look on the front of the drive to make sure the DVD logo is there.

Next, you need to have  DVD player software installed.  Examples are Cyberlink Power DVD, Sonic DVD, etc.

Then, you should be good-to-go.

I have a toshiba laptop and I just put the dvd in the cd rom drive.
