How do i play live on the ps3...i just got one

On the main menu of the ps3 go to "settings". Go down to "network settings". Go down to internet connection and make sure its "enabled". Go down to "internet connection settings" click "wireless" and "scan for signals"

Thats how I did it. I dont have a wireless router but I have a laptop so thats how I was picking up signals. Try it ven if you dont, you might be able to pick up signals.

Go to settings then network settings. Enter in your WEP key and stuff like that then click ok. Put in a game or go to the web browser and see if it works if not then go look at the instruction manual or somthin

Granted you may "pick up" signals, however most people put a security code on their router as to prevent electronic intrusion. If you have a wireless router, rename it, so you know which is yours (after scanning), if you don't have one, you can run an ethernet cable from your modem. I suggest buying some type of router so your PC or MAC can run simultaneously with your PS3. Once you have established a connection, go to PSN and follow the instructions on setting up an account. After about 20 minutes or so of filling out the required info, you should be ready to jump on line. Good luck.
