I strongly suggest you learn by reading books on the subject.  As your first book I recommend Billiards As It Should Be Played. Even though this book refers to carom billiards it will be of great value to you in developing your fundamental which you will carry with you during your whole pool playing days.  The book is by Willie Hoppe.  After that I sugest 99 Criticle Shots In Pool by Ray Martin.  And always remember to follow up and stay down.

first you need a pool table and some balls.....then you get a long stick (cue) hit the white ball and try to hit the coloured balls into a pocket.....lol......

The most simple and easy to play is to go to YAHOO GAMES>LOGIN>POOL>JOIN TABLE, read there HOW TO PLAY? and play have fun right there sitting infront of your computer ,no need to dressup nicely  and go out.
