  1. If by "home cinema system" you mean, surround sound, (speakers and the like), you don't plug your system into your xbox - You plug your xbox into your system. Xbox comes with what are called RCA connectors. The red and white RCA connectors are your sound's left and right channels. Your sound system should have front and back RCA audio inputs (should be labeled). I'm assuming what you have done is hooked up all the cables to the back of your TV. If you have component, you should have red, green, and blue (for HD Video) and then separated should be red and white ones (Audio). What you need to do, is take the red and white ones from your xbox, and plug them into the audio input of the surround sound.

    Video ----- Xbox --> Red/Blue/Green --> TV

    Audio ----- Xbox --> Red/White ----> Surround sound

    Edit: If you are using an HDMI cable from your xbox to your TV, that cable has the video and sound together. What you would need to do is find the "Audio Out" on your TV, and take those red and white connectors you have, plug them into the audio out on your TV, then to the audio in on your sound system.
