  1. i have 2 boys.  i put regular underwear on them and made them sit down on a little potty.  if u put them in pull ups there just like a diaper and they won't no when there wet.  make sure u take your son atleast every 45 mins to an hr and make sure he sits there for atleast 5 mins.  my now 4 yr old was potty trained in 2 days.  my youngest were still working on it but, he's mostly potty trained.  i no that sounds crazy and wasted most of your day, but, u wanna make sure he doesn't have an accident.

    good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I started my daughter at 13mths old. Put on the toilet (with kiddie seat) or potty after naps and in the morning to start with. That teaches them what the toilet/potty is for and after sleeping is when he's more likely to go. Also teach the language they need so he can start to ask or tell you when he wants to go. Then just take it at his pace, sometimes he'll ask alot/be interested, other times not (so don't pressure, just back off for a few days). I used to read my D a book too whilst she sat there to keep her concentration. And I tried stickers too for a while (but they can get bored once using the toilet alot) so the best praise is YOU. Say 'WOOO, well done going toilet' jump around, make a big fuss to show how pleased you are!

When he's ready he'll have the knowlegde so will just be able to  make the connections and start to go consistantly.

  3. Encourage him to stay dry. This simple change is what it took to have my son potty trained, worked almost immediately: The best advice I can give, is through out the day, ask if he is "dry." If he is, give him a small reward (We use a fruit loop-in his eyes they were a treat, since he normally doesn't get them) Don't use pull-ups, use underwear, there is nothing to soak up the mess, and he knows right away that he has to change clothes. Put the remains in the toilet (so he can associate where they belong) Never get mad, he is learning a new skill, like walking and talking. By changing the focus, my son understood that the goal is to stay dry.

  4. I don't have a kid yet but- I have had siblings that had to go thru potty training

    - do you have one of those little kid toilets

    - let them wear them disposible underpants while there in training

  5. my best idea is to get a sticker chart for him (I made one really easy out of freezer paper, construction paper and glue or you can buy them) but every time he goes in the potty or wakes up dry or whenever you think he deserves it award him a sticker, you didn't say how old he is so pick a number say 2 or 3 and tell him when he gets that many stickers he will get say (for my son it's a gum ball he thinks they are gods gift to earth) or a small treat or whatever you decide, this works REALLY well for my son he is 3 and pretty much potty trained he uses pull ups at night and when we go somewhere that's it. Good luck!!

  6. well that all depends on how old he is.  What I did for my son is the best advice I can give you because there was no stress on him nor me.  Teach him how to use the toliet, where it goes (trust me that will become an issue when he is about 4). how to flush, when to wipe, washing hands, turning out the bathroom light.  I wouldn't push the issue with him.  The more you push him into it the less he is going to want to do it.  This needs to be his thing at his time.  Personally I wouldn't put pull ups on him unless it is at night.  I would just use regular underwear.

    Good luck and have fun!!
