  1. eat spaghetti the night before

    good night of sleep

    stretch out really well

listen to music or something to get pumped

  2. Keep a good head on your shoulders, don't get too confident.  Stretch out real good.  Keep positive.

  3. Stretch

    Eat a healthy light meal

Do not eat anything 1 hour before the game, or risk vomiting

Relax your mind.  A clear head helps to read the defense, and avoids burning yourself before the first snap.

    Best of luck.

  4. just get pumped and you will be good

  5. Just go over all your reads in your head. Picture what you need to do in each situation that could play out. As for pre game rituals everyone is different. Some need to be quiet to themselves and some need to be vocal and get pumped up.

The number one thing my coach always told me is if you are going to make a mistake make while going 100%. Don't wander around like you don't know whats going on. If you get lost on a play just run 100% and hit someone. The other thing is don't get a penalty, especially a stupid one, called on you. That is the quickest way to draw bad attention to yourself and get yanked.

Bottom line just go out there and leave it all on the field. Do what you are supposed to do and be reliable.

  6. the day before the game you gorge yourself with water and have a plate of speghattie for dinner.

The next day relax and stay hydrated.  If you get nervous, just imagine its another practice.

  7. I played Linebacker and I know how it is going to fell. Just be prepared as much as you can. Be ready to hit hard and show your coaches that you can start. This is all I am tellling. Try your hardest and you will succed. If u try to hit the hardest then you can show you coaches that u can start. Good Luck

  8. Just know your plays that you probably learned in h**l week. Nothing will irritate a coach more than seeing a player run around not knowing what he's doing. Go full speed every single play and hit the ball carrier and anyone in the way as hard as you can. If you let up when you are about to make contact you can hurt yourself.

In terms of preparing for a game (I played running back), I ate a sandwich couple hours before game time, stayed hydrated, visualized my plays and listened to CDs that got me pumped up. Some songs I liked were "Hit Em High" from Space Jam and "Put You On The Game" by The Game.

  9. Eat a Peanut Butter sandwitch, spray some AXE or Old Spice all over you, pump yourself up jack around with the guys a bit cause you gonna be serious the rest of the time, reveiw the plays a bit, and don't put on your helmet because you will want to take it off! First two plays of the game are what count if your afraid of somebody hit them so hard the first two plays, knock the **** outta em and make them scared of you.
