  1. well there is nothing else you really need to know about volleyball (the game or how to play). THe most important thing, i think, when it comes to try-outs is to show that you really wanna learn, improve, and play. Practice with a partner whenever you get the chance and always ask the coaches questions after practice to show your willingness to get better. THat is more important to a coach then just having skill. Also, be loud and be a good teammate by cheering everyone else and talking on the court. If you really wanna make the team you have to show that your trying hard and that you will never give up no matter how hard the drill is.  GOod luck!

Also, go after every ball, no matter if there is no way you could possibly get it... just try to get a touch on it and hit the floor if you can't!

  2. And don't forget to hustle and communicate.  Coaches love people who are loud, and hustle after everything.  Also, don't forget to be coachable.  They are there to help you and when they make a suggestion, then try to do it the best that you can.

  3. Work on the fundamentals, have a good additude, and compete at the best of your ability! Keep practicing and you'll do fine! Coaches look for some one with skills and can be a team player. Check these sites for drills to help! Good Luck!

  4. as an experienced volleyball player you need to prepare by practicing you serves volleys bump and spikes. this is what you need for you to do good at ur volleyball tryouts.

  5. Sleep well the night before and eat well. Pastas and stuff. HYDRATE.

As for technique, depending on what position you want, practice skills for that position. Have a family member hit balls at you or set with someone (depending on what you are). Practice hitting against a wall or serving against a wall. Don't practice the night before try-outs, it'll tire you out.

Don't be nervous, you'll find that for the most part the coaches are pretty nice and relax and don't worry so much about the other players, worry about yourself.

    Good luck!
