  1. I'd use either gravel or moss, not dirt.  It will be a lot easier to keep clean in the terrarium, anyway.  Mine have been happy for years with gravel.

  2. Sorry, but i use coconut husk dirt with mine for the same reason with my pacman frog...he has 3 plants with him.

If your using potting soil, try the coconut husk dirt you should be able to get from a reptile/amphibian area of a pet store. They come in dry block's. You soak it in water and it gets about 5 times it's size.

Yes he eats some dirt when he goes for his food most of the time, but it's not as dangerous as using gravel/pebble's.

Like the other person said to use it...with his luck he has gotten away with using it. but if your frog is now getting dirt in his mouth stick with it or the coconut.

He could eat the pebble's or anything else large. And it could get stuck in his digestive tract causing an "Impaction!" Which is really bad!!! He would most likely die from it...it is pretty much he get's constipated from an object and then die's if not treated ASAP...which can be SUPER expensive just for a frog's surgery...

Hope I helped! Stick with the coconut husk fiber dirt if you can find it!
