How do i print using a wired network?

i have 2 computers hooked up thru a lynksys router and i wanted to no how to set up the printer so it can print from both computers an i already have the settings on the printer to shared but when i try to print somthin from my computer it still wont work

1.  Which OS are you running on each computer?  Always helpful to know which printer we are dealing with too.

2.  Did you install the printer drivers on computer that is not connected directly to the printer?

Sorry, yes OS = Operating System.  Which version of Windows.

You would need to download the Vista drivers for your printer from the manufacturer's website == can't help you there since you didn't post which printer you have.

Install the Vista drivers on the Vista computer, during which you will point it towards the "shared" name you created on the computer that has the printer attached to it.

After installing the drivers.  Go through My Network Places to the printer on the shared network.  Right click on the printer and click on connect.

After doing this you may have to remove  the 1st driver you installed so that the drivers do not conflict, but you have to install it for it to work.
