How do i promote new yahoo group?

I have just started a new yahoo group. Any advice on how to promote it

Send the URL  to all your friends  asking them to join and ask them to forward it on to all their friends with the same request.  If possible exchange links with other web sites.  Make sure your welcoming message offfers pertinent words and info .  yahoo offers a little help too.  See the link below.  Good luck, it takes time.

be sure it has key words for searches

add the link to your profile and mail signature

add the promote code to another site with same topic

try not to add it to groups specific for group ads or you'll get a bunch of spammers. people do searches for groups.
