  1. Most often they will want to see that you are employed and have been given a specific amount of time off from your job.  In addition to this you will need to show a round trip air ticket or travel itinerary that makes it clear you have a return trip to your own country included.  The local US consulate in your area should be able to provide more specific details relating to your situation.

  2. You have to show strong social and political ties to your home country. These ties must be strong enough that they will prevent you from attempting to become an illegal immigrant. Examples include:

-Proof of owning a house in your home country (or owning a business, or a car etc)

-Proof of a job in your home country (letter from employer etc)

-Proof of having a family in your home country (family photographs, marriage and childrens birth certificates etc)

-Letters from some reputable people who can vouch for you

And anything else you can think of that demonstrates that you will return to your home country at the end of your trip.

  3. Employment, bank account, return ticket, family in your country, own a home in your country, etc.

  4. Return ticket for a date not long afterwards, business or academic meetings for the week afterwards in your country or anywhere not the USA, continuing ties with your homeland - it doesn't usually have to be complex or detailed - the more obvious in fact the better.

  5. Present land titles, car registrations, certificate of employment and other ties that will prove that you will return to the Philippines after attending the conference in US.
