How do i purify an aloe vera extract?

The clear gel or mucilaginous substance produced by parenchymal cells located in the central region of  leaves of Aloe vera ( syn. A. barbadensis ) is easily squeezed out. An aqueous solution is called aloe vera extract and doesn`t need to be purified. You can use it like it is.

To isolate single contents like gluco-mannans ( polysaccharides ) or the antiallergic compound alprogen or  phenolic anthraquinons f.e.

preparative column chromatography is used.
