How do i put Older Home movies on DVD?

Question

Have a bunch of old home videos and i would like to put them on DVD.

How do i do this? what do i need to buy to get started.

Purchase a DVD recorder.  You can get a standalone player that connects to your tv for under $100.  You will then plug the recorder into the TV, much like you would your vcr.  AV cables to the TV.  Then connect your VCR (via A/V most have front inputs to make this easy or you can plug your camcorder directly into the recorder) to the DVD recorder and you are set to record.  If you don't have Tivo/DVR you can program it to record shows just like you would a vcr.  

If you can operate a VCR you will be able to operate a DVD recorder they are very similar as far as how they operate.

Not knowing the media you have them on makes it hard to tell you exactly.

Not knowing where you want to put them and what equipment you already have complicates it further.
