You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video for iPod. I like the DVD to iPod Converter Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. Also, the output quality is great. You can download this software free from here

I use Handbrake to rip my DVDs for my iPod. It's totally free, can be used on Mac or Windows, and has built in iPod settings.

you can use a paid program or you can just download a free dvd ripper. once youve ripped the dvd you can convert it into an ipod file using winff which is also free!

You need a converter to help you convert the DVD to MP4 format.And then transfer the video that be converted to iTunes.

Download DVD decrypter to put your dvd on the computer and then download Videora Ipod converter which you can use to convert the DVD. And just look for instructions on google for how to use dvd decrypter because you have to change the IFO settings so there is no file splitting. But Videora has instructions for DVD decrypter and its really easy.

You'll need a DVD to iPod converter. Google Cucusoft suite, or SuperVideo Converter. They're free. But I have never used either, so I couldn't tell you how to convert the video, but their sites should have instructions.
