How do i put a password on a word document using windows vista?

there is no "tools" section...

  1. Use Save As from the File menu. Go to Tools in the dialog box and open General Options. You can then set a password to either open the document or make changes to it.

    This has nothing to do with Vista. It's a part of Microsoft Word.
