How do i put an iron-on decorative patch on an nylon back-pack? Will it burn?

I really want to put a patch on my bag, i know ironing it on nylon isnt recommended but is there a way to do it without burning/melting it?

  1. Why don't you try gluing it on?  The nylon will melt if the iron is hot .  You could also try using a cloth over the patch.


  2. If you're going to use a glue you haven't tried before, I would also recommend sewing the patch down along the edges in a couple of places.

  3. Allene's No Sew glue works really well ;)))

  4. I would use glue to stick it on because the patch instructions require hot iron and nylon melts under those conditions even with a press cloth. Alene's crafts glue will probably work best.

  5. There is fabric glue.  I've used that.  I know it can be bought at Joann fabrics.
