How do i put dvds on my ipod?

other than byeing movies on iTunnes is there a way of converting dvd movies so that they are copatible to iPod videos?

You can not burn your dvd's on to your ipod. The only way you can get movies on it is by purchasing and renting some from the itunes store. I think buring dvd's is illegal anyway.

Actually you can download free software to do this. Handbrake is the best DVD ripper, it's free, and it has built in settings for iPods. There is a good tutorial on how to use it, and a download link on the Apple Mentor website:

u would have to convert them into mp4 format, copy a dvd into ur computer using a program like nero, and then search google for a converter,

put the dvd in ur computer, save it in ur computer(not on itunes) and then import it into itunes by clicking file>import
