How do i put dvds on my ipod touch?

i just bought an ipod touch 16gb and the thing is cool to play with but i cant figure out how to get dvds on to my ipod. ive been told that i must convert the dvd to certain format (im assuming just like when adding music to itunes) but i can not figure out how. so please america,... can u help me?!

iPod can only support mpeg4 video. iPod accepts only MP4 format video, you need third party software to convert dvd to MP4, I always use Aimersoft iPod Converter Suite, it can easily convert dvd video to ipod with high quality, that's really good, you can check it out here for free:

Then just follow below steps to add video to iPod.

1. Open iTunes and click "File" to add your videos to iTunes library.

2.Then plug in your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect your iPod as a device. select your iPod device on the left panel of iTunes, click "Movies" tab, check the videos you want to sync and click "Apply", done.
