  1. I remember the first grip tape I put on, and looking back, I can’t believe I was actually as worried as I was. Let me tell you how to do it, in case your uncle isn’t around in the future.

    1) Get a flat surface, and put the deck so it will not slide around.

    2) Take the backing off the grip tape, exposing the adhesive, and stick down. The way I do it is from the left to the right (short ways, not tail to nose) because the concave will sometimes cause bubbles.

    3) Take a s***w driver (what I used, but do what you would like) and run the side of it along the end of the deck, outlining it, and making a white-ish outline. The basically seals the edge, and gives you a nice pattern for strep #4.

    4) Take a razor blade, and cut the excess grip tape off.

    5) Poke holes using the s***w driver for your hardware. Go from the bottom up, make a small mark, and then push from the top once you found the holes. You don’t want to scrap up your fresh grip tape by jabbing from the top, looking for the holes.

    6) Assemble your hardware, and go skate!

While a skate shop or your uncle could do it, it might as well learn if you have the time.

  2. yeah , You could do that or you could ask someone in a skate board shop to.

  3. goto a local skateshop to put it on .

Or get ur uncle to .

    it's not that hard .

Look it up on youtube .

  4. Putting Griptape on is actually pretty easy, if you're new to it, you may have some trouble and some airbubbles, but until you try it, you'll never know so i suggest you do it.

    1. Youll need the grip, a s***w driver, and an exacto, or really sharp knife you can turn with, oh and you can sue the razor blade but for bulk, you may want scissors to shed the edges.  You can always integrate designs in, but for your first time, I don't recommend it, unless it is something simple like a strip of bare board if you have a company like Zero like me and might want the name to stick out.

    2. If you want that strip, follow these instructions, but measure how much you will need for both the tail of the board, and then the remainder up to the nose.

    3. If not, make sure you roll up the grip tape the long way so there is a bit of a curve to fit within the board.  Roll a bit of the wax paper off and put the sticky part you just exposed on the tail, then slowly push the griptape down and flatten it out while rolling off the waxpaper on the bottom if you see any air bubbles forming, lift it up slowly and flatten it out.  Keep doing this and just follow the curves.  make sure everything is stuck on your board, except the excess on the sides.

    4. Take your screwdriver and roll it against the sides of your board to create a scratched outline on the griptape to cut out with your scissors.  Cut this out outside of the lines, then fine trim it along your board with your razor.

    5. Now for the s***w holes, flip the board over and locate the 4 holes on each side, take your screwdriver and stick through all of the holes.  Then make the holes bigger with the razorblade on the top of the board in a circle until all of the hole is exposed, then you can start putting your board together.

---Good luck, and just remember that the most damage you can do if you follow these instructions is create some airbubbles.  Try it, and then you never have to bring it back again to get it done, and you'll get better each time =)

  5. well if you dont want ur uncle to do tht or a skate shop to then put the griptape on flat then file the edges then take a blade and turn it to a 45 degree angle and slice the g.tape off and get as close to the board as possible
