  1. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

  2. This is for Windows

    1. plug in your ipod, but do not open itunes

    2. go my computer and press your ipod drive

    3. go to tool and click folder options and go to the view tab

    4. Under Hidden Files and folders, select the option show hidden files and folder

    5. You should see the folder that says music and the folder should be a almost transparent color

    6. right click on the music folder and go to properties and unclick hidden and move/copy the folder on your desktop

    7. open itunes and add the folder to your library

**Note: when you open the music folder on your desktop the music files songs don't have names but random letters, not to worry the names will show up on itunes once you have add the music :)

Oh and you should hide the folders after you are done adding the music to your computer, you don't want to delete any important files that may be vital to your new computer!

  3. you need to go to file menu and click tranfer.

  4. I downloaded a software called 'Aniosoft iPod To Computer' to help me, It is a ipod backup tool to help you easily copy / transfer your songs , videos from your iPod to PC. You can find it at http://www.dvdipodsoft.com/ipod-to-compu...

It's fast, easy and very wonderful. I think it is a good choose.Hope it helps.

  5. the other answer is horribly wrong.

    google "eph pod"

that should show you a website for a download of a program called "eph pod"

    OR

go to control panel -> files and folders -> settings

change the visibility of system files and folders to "visible" or "on" or something of the likes. Then browse My Computer for your iPod, and rip the "Music" folder off it.

  6. eph-pod works well.

I used Music Rescue. If you dont buy the full version after every fifty files it will stop and ask you to buy.

  7. Because iTunes prevent you from copying iPod files to PC, you need special software to backup your iPod files to PC. I have been using tansee to copy iPod files to PC for a long time, it works really nice for me, you may download it for a try, here is a step by step guide about it

Hope it helps and have a nice day.
