How do i put my phone number on private give me an example how to?

whenever i call somebody and i want it to be private i dial

  *67 then the number....and it will say private.

i know  *67 works on cell phones, but not sure about home phone, which 1 are u asking about?  when i had a landline quite a while ago there was a way to do it also, but i had to call my carrier and pay for an additional service

very simple just push *67 and call the number you want like you normally do
