I tried to do so but youtube won't let me because it isn't in the right format of WMV. Now i tried to convert it but for some reason when i go to add a video to convert my video i saved doesn't come up in the open folder. So i tried to just drag it in but it said there is some sort of problem...what do you do when you post a video from movie maker onto youtube?

  1. I'm guessing you went to File> Save as... DON'T DO THAT! You will only get a MSWMM file, which isn't a movie file, but the WMM Project file.

Instead, go to the task bar on the left and under the heading Finish Movie, choose save to computer. From there just choose whatever format you need.

    Hope that helps.

  2. You have to export the file from windows movie maker first. To do this, open your movie in windows movie maker, select file -> Export and select WMV format. you should now be able to upload this file to youtube.

  3. you should click the publish movie in windows movie maker, then it will render it down to whatever format it is (this is what i do) then upload it onto you tube. make sure its no more than 10 min long!

there is a way to get more than 10 min but i don't know how to
