How do i put songs on a dvd cd to listen to it in the car details inside?

ok so my friend has this thing on his apple laptop he burns more songs and longer songs on a dvd cd and its like a program i think, i think it converts the dvd to a cd or something like that so how do i do the same thing i have a burner that burns songs too

its no major trick a dvd cd simply has more file space than a normal cd and thus can hold more songs
