  1. start feeding your snake in a separate "feeding tub".  a plastic box from wal mart or target will do fine.  just drill some holes in the box at the tops of the sides for airflow.  give the snake about 20 minutes after he eats before you put him back up.

if you feed your snake in his house every time he sees your hand he will think it is eating time...not only that but you also run the risk of your snake getting substrate in his mouth.

  2. If it is just attacking you when you go to pick it up and perfectly calm when it's out, then it's not that aggressive. It is probably just thinking that it is feeding time. You would just want to feed it in another cage. Or, you can use a tool to keep it's head away from your hand while you attempt to grasp it's neck to pull it out. Now if it's striking while it's out, that may be more of a problem. If you cannot handle the snake, you probably should get rid of it. If you're patient and have the time to work w/ it, then of course keep it.

  3. It strikes at you because you feed it in the tank. Moving mouse/rat goes into cage=food. It comes to realize that moving things entering the cage are food. Your hand moves, goes into cage =food.

Just get a heavy bag for feeding box and start feeding him in there. Until then, wear gardening gloves when you take him out. Be sure that you do handle him though, because if you don't he'll be aggressive anyway.

  4. I thought the Ibuprofen was supposed to fix that...
