  1. Consult with a test prep professional to find out what you can do to improve.

Most of them with sit down with you for free and explain what services they offer, and what you in particular can do to imrove.

Also keep in mind that strategies are COMPLETELY different for people that score in different ranges.

A student that scores <20 needs more practice and help with how to take tests and how to study.  20-25 usually benefit most from tricks and ideas to help them solve problems and not run out of time.  They are also encouraged to identify the easiest problems and do those first.

25+ tend to need something specific to them.  There may be one section in particular that they are weak on and need one-on-one attention.

  2. You can only study so much for tests like the ACT.  On the day of the test, relax, breathe and think positive!  You can do it!  You probably know a lot more than you think, and it will be much easier to remember it all if you are calm and have a positive attitude.  Good luck!

  3. 1. Try taking timed practice tests.  You need to get accustomed to working under pressure.

    2.  Get a tutor for the areas in which you are having the most difficulties.

    3. Get a practice software program and practice.

    4. Enroll in an ACT preparation class.
