How do i read notes on the guitar?

i heard that you can manage to play the music sheets without actually knowing the notes and and there was a bunch of numbers and i wanted help i just dont want to play on 1 string for ever i know all the notes in heart almost i was wondering if some one could tell me send me a link any of that would be fine thx!

  1. It's called tablature.

    The numbers represent the fret number. The lines represent the guitar strings.

    Just type "guitar tabs" into google. You'll get a million results.


  2. What you are looking for is 'Tablature'. It's a shortcut to learning songs you already know, but is almost useless if you don't know how the song is supposed to sound.

    Instead of learning that, go take lessons and learn how to read music properly. If you ever end up as a working musician you will eventually have to read music charts. Nobody uses tablature on gigs.
