  1. You can apply for citizenship through your mother.  She can file form I-130 Petition for alien relative and you can file form I-485 Application to register permanent resident along with it.  Filing these forms together will total about $1300 in fees, so make sure you have these available.  If your brother and sister are over 21, you could file through one of them instead of your mother.  These forms do not require that you prove your residence, so no need to dig out those report cards. They require only that your relative can prove citizenship.  You will need a birth certificate, however.  Can you get one from where you were born?

If you can at all afford it, I suggest hiring a lawyer to do this paperwork.  If you can't, one way to get started is to check out this website http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index....

which gives you a checklist of what you need to file these forms.  Start collecting your supporting documents right away, as these can take some time!

Once these forms are filed, you should get a temporary work permit in 30 to 90 days.  Then you'll have to wait to see if they want more information from you, and you'll probably have to do a medical exam and an interview.  It could take up to 2 years before you have status as permanent resident, but you will get it eventually.  Just don't leave the country before you get it, or you might not be able to return!

    Good luck!
