how do i record game play on a console to mi PC in video format like a PS3 Xbox360 and PS2 , oh and if i need some software or hardware i have windows vista home premium and if the software or hardware allows me to play on my PC monitor

also the cheapest but pretty good quality way

  1. Do you mean that you what to recode the game play on your PC?

    If so, what you need is a screen video capture software.

  2. You need a capture card.  You can either buy an internal one, which can be found at any computer store, or you can buy an external one.  I have a Pinnacle USB device that I purchased for only $50 at the time, probably less now.  Gamebridge is also a very popular device.

    As for software, you may be able to use Windows Movie Maker (I was able to do it on XP, but the vista WMM won't recognize it for some reason) or you can use Debut, which is free software.

  3. You can either:

    1) Use a camcorder.

    2) Buy and install a Video Capture Card into your PC, and feed your system's audio and video cables into it, letting you play your system on your PC. Capture cards typically come with their own recording software.
