How do i record my singing with a mic & built in sound recorder?

I've heard that windows sound recorder doesn't work that well & that there's a program called audacity that records better. how do i use the program & be able to post what i've sang onto youtube?

Sound Recorder works great if you learn how.

1.  Plug the microphone in the mic jack on the computer

2.  Open Sound Recorder

3.  Click on the red record button

4.  Sing,  You should see your voice modulate the line

5.  When finished, click on "edit" then click on "Delete after current position"

6.  Click on "file" "save as" and give your song a name.

7.  Upload your song to youtube.
