How do i recruit articuno on pokemon mystery dungeon? gba series?

i need him and moltres on my team! i cant find articuno and moltres just wont join!!!

go around the room one time then beat him

this is most certain to work

You have to beat the game first. Afterwards, you can get them by fighting them again. I dont think you have to worry about getting the friend area because they give it to you. But if they do need a friend area, you should check wigglytuff's shop. Hope this helps
