How do i register a pistol in tennessee?

also does a pistol have to be registered in tennessee?i had a background check done a year ago when i bought a riffle from a store.but the pistol is for sale from a friend.

you don't have to register it, you need to get your carry permit though.

The only registration is in the concealed-carry permit. If you aren't applying for the permit, there is no registration.
