How do i reinstall a graphics control driver with a black screen. SONY VAIO (PCV-W30)?

From the beginning i thought i was having a display problem.checking options in control panel i changed the graphics control driver.Big mistake. Now when the computer turns on i can hear windows xp home start but the screen stays black. I can enter the bios and do have the option to boot from disc but im not sure how to configure options from there. I do have a windows xp home cd. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, steve
