  1. Here:

  2. go on command prompt

(type "cmd" in the run box on ur computer)

or u can find it in accessories

    type ipconfig

remember the number of the default gateway

type that in ur web address bar.

    OR

you can go on www.routerlogin.net and type admin as username and password as password

    then check everything

  3. Your memory was not wiped.  memory is volaitle, and gets "wiped" everytime your computer turns off.

If you meant that your hard drives were wiped because of the virus, and your computer is no longer configured to use the router, don't fret.

Go do an internet search for your model, or just use the owners manual, to set it up. No router REQUIRES the use of the CD. It's just easier for some.

That said, you may be able to find the CD on the company's website, or another person's site. You may even find someone who has the CD for your model who can upload an image of it for you to burn.

    Good luck.

  4. What is your model number?  Is it a Super G, G or B?  You don't need a CD it just needs the URL.

Connect a PC directly to a LAN port on the wireless router with an Ethernet cable.

Power on the wireless router/access point.

    Reboot the PC.

Log in to the wireless router though a browser. (Usually 192.168.1.1, with User Name = admin and Password = password, unless you changed them from the defaults).

Go to the LAN IP menu and disable the wireless access point’s DHCP server by unchecking Use router as DHCP server.

Select LAN IP, and change the IP to 192.168.1.99.

Click Apply to save the settings. You will lose the connection to the wireless router/access point , since its IP changed.

Log in to the wireless router/access point with the URL: http://192.168.1.99

Connect one of the wireless router's Local (LAN) ports to your existing network.

  5. I never use a CD. 192.168.1.1
