Hi, I have a sub and I'm guessing that the stock cd player in a 96 chevy blazer doesn't have the inputs for it, so i am wondering how you take the stock cd player out because ive noticed it doesnt look as simple as some of the other cars ive owned, thanks in advance!

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Remove (2)

screws above the speedometer cluster. Remove the ashtray and (1) s***w exposed in the

ashtray cavity. Remove (2) screws from the lower steering column trim bezel and remove the

bezel. Unclip the dash trim bezel, disconnect the light switch wiring and remove the bezel.

Remove (4) screws securing the climate control panel and remove the panel. Remove (4)

screws securing the factory head unit/pocket assembly and disconnect the wiring.

  2. I have a 95 blazer and if it is like mine you have to take the whole front dash trim piece off.

The piece that covers the radio and the dash cluster where the speedo and other gauges are.

It's a little tricky but if you take your time you can do it.
