How do i remove how do get rid of security-scan-pc.com popups of my computer?

i keep getting pop ups to download an anti virus software and it keeps freezing my pc when i reject it/or try to close it down

I  have had the same thing on my computer, scans your computer indicates how many threats its found and the only way to get rid of them is to purchase the bloody thing. ended up having to format hard drive because it would not let do a system restore.

Internet Options > Privacy > and tick Turn on Pop Up Blocker > Apply & OK

Ad wares can undo the changes made to the Internet Explorer, so even if you turn on the pop up blocker, you will find out that no changes has been done. To remove the Ad ware, download and install Spybot Search & Destroy from www.download.com. Install it, update it, and run a scan to remove all the other types of Ad wares detected and your PC should be fine.

This is adware which is highly dangerous.

I suggest you go and register on the What the tech forums so they can help you remove it.

I too have used their expertise help to remove 2 deadly viruses in the past.
