How do i remove or move the annyoing advertisement recently placed on my home page?

When this happened to me, my browser had been hijacked by spyware. Each time I went online, my homepage would come up then without warning would go to another page. It would allow me to view some other pages but for the most part it went right back to the same page. When I looked in network connections at the homepage area, instead of having Yahoo, it had something I didn't recognize there, I tried changing it back to yahoo and it would go BACK to that same webpage by itself. Browser hijacked. If you do not have a spyware program, I recommend Adaware because I have used it and had it used by a proffesional, its about 20 bucks at Office Depot or Staples. You may even find it at walmart. NEVER DOWNLOAD THE ONES ONLINE. They won't do anything but "detect" spyware. If you don't want to try the do it yourself approach, you can take it to a tech and they will clean your hardrive off completely and reinstall your operating system and you start new. Be sure to get a spyware program.

Go to www.pcpitstop.com register for free, assuming that you can advance past the home page. There is a program that you can down load for free "HigackThis". When you run this program it shows all the hotkeys and any other link keys. Copy the whole file and paste it on the forums, do not press any other keys until instructed to do so. Go under "Viruses,Spyware,Adware Subforum" then under "Hijack this logs". Start a thread and paste the copy in there with a statement of your problem. There are professionals that can see what is exactly wrong with your start up/home page/redirector/trojan/ any other issue. Someone should tell you what line or lines to delete. Run Hijack this again and highlight the lines and delete, double check that they are the ones you want. Reboot your computer and it should help.  WARNING USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!.  I myself had good fortune using this method.
