How do i remove red dye from a wooden table?

  1. You will have to sand off the finish from the stained area.

    This may get rid of most of the stain.

    Very carefully using a q-tip lightly dab only the stain with bleach.

    Wipe off any excess. Repeat if needed.

    You may have to treat the whole table with a weak bleach solution to make the wood color uniform.

    Sand again and refinish your table.

    Or learn to love the stain for the character it adds to your table.

    When my son was a baby, he banged dents in to my dining room table with a little metal car. The dents are a reason to smile - now.
