How do i remove the administrator password for windows vista?

I have forgotten the administrator password for my computer(Windows Vista OS). I'm not able to install new programs or download anything without it. Is there anyway to retrieve it or reset it?

Boot from the Windows Vista DVD, hit Shift+F10. A command prompt should open. Type the following (hit enter after each line):

c:

cd \windows\system32

ren utilman.exe utilman.old

copy cmd.exe utilman.exe

Remove the Vista DVD and reboot your computer. At the welcome screen, click the button in the lower left-hand corner. You should get a command prompt. Type:

net user <your-username> 12345

Hit Enter. Close the command prompt window. Log in with the password "12345".
