  1. lefty loosey, righty tighty this works better

  2. I have to agree with sophie except that the s***w in the chuck is called a hex headed chuck s***w. It takes an hex (sometimes called an allen) wrench to remove. I have never seen one with a phillips head on it as it would tighten down over time and strip out when you tried to remove it. Unless someone replaced the hex headed chuck s***w with a different s***w... Anyways take what fits and follow her directions.

  3. Right tighty  Left loosey what sort of kindergarden taught you that c**p.

If the chuck is removable take it of and push the s***w out if not loose the chuck to maximum and it should fall out if not pry it with a screwdriver. You obviously store your drill with loose screws in the same box so it may have just lodged there by accident, Try and store them seperatly from now on.

  4. sophie is spot on!!

  5. the s***w in the chuck is left hand thread, should be a philips #2

wrap the chuck with a shop towel, hold with waterpump pliers, take out s***w,,righty loosey

    to take off chuck...

tighten short end of 1/4-3/8 allen key in chuck, lay on workbench,... wack end of key with hammer..this is right hand...so lefty loosey...

  6. right tight, left loose. should not be a s***w in the chuck. the chuck is one solid piece. i'm not sure what s***w you mean.
