How do i renew my drivers permit in california?

i took my roadtest and failed and my permit expires soon. i heard if i go to the dmv to renew it before it expires i dont have to take the written test again. is that true? if it is..how do i do it?

As a driving school owner here in California, I'm sorry to tell you but you heard wrong.  To renew your permit, you'll have to take a new written test and pay another fee.

If you go to my web-site www.eliteteendriver.com, you'll find free practice tests (for adults and teenagers) that will make it very easy to pass your written test again.

If you can take and pass the road test before your permit expires, then you won't have to take the written for several years.
